Day started great with very little traffic. Traffic did build as the morning went on, but the drive was not a real long one. The roads were better today from the standpoint that the were not as many sharp curves and a little fewer if the hills to climb.
The views were great and we were driving along and there was another shore about ½ mile across the water. Well it turns out it was a large bay and a little later we were on the other side looking back at where we came from. The shores essentially look untouched by humans and wooded. Occasionally we see a beach but there is no access points, and I would imagine that the water of the North Atlantic is cool. I Googled it and at can range from 56 F to 66 F during July.
We started running in to road construction and on this 2 lane hwy that means closing at least one lane or building a bypass (as we saw 2 times today). The delays are not much when you think of the light traffic volume. Probably went thru a dozen construction zones.
There were scattered showers forecast for today. They mostly went by west and north of our travels. We did start to get some light sprinkles as we arrived at the camp grounds. Not much of a problem for Kelso , as he does not mind the rain. He enjoyed sitting by the picnic table while I got everything hooked up. We did take a little walk in the sprinkle after the work was done. The sun did come out for a while after about 3:00 pm.
Maybe I am lucky, another good campgrounds. It is different in that it does not have the kids park or other amusement areas that some have had, but it has some trails to the beach area and I don’t think there will be a lot of people there. Our campsite is in a wooded area not too different than yesterday, other than the sites are closer together but still well separated with vegetation.
No internet yesterday with no power. I started the write ups in my word processor so I can post them today. I will try to work on the picture issue later but I want to get the posts up to date.

A good look at the types of homes and buildings along the hwy.

This part of the hwy was pretty straight. Notice the darker clouds to the north.

This was taken from a lookout area that we stopped at. The view is out of the bay to the North Atlantic.

From the same lookout as above but looking a little nore northerly.

This is somewhere between low tide and high tide at the waster’s edge at our campgrounds. Kelso & I carefully walked about 100′ across an area that would normally be under water at high tide to get to this position.

A slightly different view than above with thr camera rotated to the left.
