The speed limit varies from 90 KPH (kilometers per hour) in the open areas to 70 KPH and 50 KPH in the villages and small cities. We must have gone thru 20 villages and small towns. Only about 2 of them haf traffic lights and very few at that. The big challenge was the driving thru the hills. When their engineers laayedout the roads they took the path of least resistance and did not cut the tops of the hills or fill in any of the valley. They do put advisory signs for the steep grade down and the largest one I saw posted was 12% with may 8%, 9% and 10% posted. The first clue of what is coming up is in the 90 KPH zone there is a curve sign that say 25, 35,45 or 55 KPH advisory for the curve. Many crest of the hills are soo steep you cannot see over the top until you are at the top.
While the roads were challenging, The views of the bays and the Atlantic were great. Only saw a couple of fishing boats out. Because of the large tides there is a lot of flat bottom that is exposed when the tide is low. None of the houses on the water have docks. I did not see a village/ town that had a marina, and I can understand why with the large swing in the tides.
The houses on the water are not mansions. They look like everyday type people live in them and have for decades. The house are modest and well kept. There are a few houses that have lots of stuff in the yards and the property is not well maintained but they are far and few between.
Again the ocean views were great of the North Atlantic. The area I passed thru today is a little further North than Thunder Bay on the North edge of Lake Superior. Cap-des-Rosiers is the furthest east point I will reach in Quebec, but I am just following the shore. I will get further East in Nova Scotia.
We are really camping tonight because our site has no power. I ran the generator on the RV for about 1 ½ hrs to cool it off inside and charge my phone and laptop. The campgrounds are part of a forrest. They put in the roads and then cut the trees out where they wanted the sites. Each site has a lot of privacy and you are not disturbed by your neighbors. They had a lot of warnings about keeping everything stored in you RV because of animals, especially the black bears. If you leave food, equipment or trash out the animals will come foraging for something to eat. I did not ask how often this happens.

Hwy 132 at it finist. The hills are getting closer.

This photo makes it look that I am going to drive right into the water. Notice the “mud” area that would be covered with higher tide.
