Very cool this morning with rain just finishing about 6:00. We left after 8 and we were starting to get some sunshine. Traffic was very light and it stayed that way for the whole trip today.
The sky was a nice bright blue with some clouds in the east. They were the rain clouds that came thru Calgary last night. As we went east the land stay pretty flat, even though there was something at the motel that called the area the foothills of the Rockies. Lots and lots of farmland.
We caught up to the clouds about 50 miles outside Medicine Hat and in Medicine Hat we had some light scattered sprinkles for about 2 hours before the sun started to show itself. We essentially checked in but the room was not ready so Kelso & I found a nice landscaped walk that wound behind businesses that fronted on the service drive to Hwy 1. Lots of good grass and trees and we walked a couple of miles. Kelso did fine with the walk.
Well tomorrow we are headed to Moosejaw Saskatchewan if all goes well.

These are the flat lands I mentioned, east of Calgary, Alberta

I do not think these are the foothills of the Rockies. This is east of Calgary. The clouds are the back end of the rain that stopped at the motel about 6:00 am.
