On the road to see Donna this morning. Kelso & I did not get a real early start but we were on the road about 9:00 am. A good portion of today’s travel was on Interstate Roads so it would be relatively easy. The last 50 to 60 miles was on 4 lane road and we went thru many towns, traffic signals and the traffic was reasonably heavy for that portion.
The weather was good with sun for most of the day and the temps got into the mid 80’s. We traveled thru the mountains and had some great views. I took a number of pictures. The maps do not say what the mountains were and I did not see any signs, so maybe they were still part of the Poconos that we saw the sign coming into Pennsylvania.
Lots of road construction, and Pennsylvania needs it, because from what I have traveled, they are probably the worst roads I have been on for the whole trip. The Interstates are pretty good but the others need a lot of work.
As would be expected, Pittsburgh traffic was heavy, even at 2:00 pm. Kelso & I arrived at Donna’s apartment bldg. And she opened the gate for the more private section of the parking lot behind her building. I was able to get the RV into a space and there was no room to spare. I have about 4″ from the back spare tire to the building and the front bumper is about 1′ into the aisle, not a lot of car movement in the lot and Donna said it was no worse than what some residents do, so that made it OK, I fit in.
It is great to see Donna and spend some time with her. Her cat made a b-line for the bedroom as soon as Kelso showed up at the door. We closed the doors to the bedroom area and Kelso was not allowed in there. We spent a lot of the afternoon talking about anything and everything. I took a short break and went to the local Chase Bank, about 3 blocks from her apartment to replenish my American money. We had a good pizza dinner and watched a little TV. The second day Donna had something to do on the computer so I worked on the posts and pictures to post for this one. I solved the problem with the sunset photo for Pete & Carolyn’s post so you may want to go back and see that. Donna, Kelso & I just had a nice relaxing afternoon and it was great.

This is actually not to far away from last nights campgrounds. Mountains to the right and straight ahead.

You can see the weather is great and more mountains to the left and ahead.

Great landscape next to the sides of the road with the mountains ahead.

This one shows the mountains right, left and ahead. Also very light traffic.

Well you do not get a view like this in Michigan or Florida.

Another good view with light traffic.

This shows a range of the mountains off to the right side.
