Champ III: Going Places

The adventure starts here.

Day 23 – Sunset Campgrounds & Connell Park RV Campgrounds (approximately 145 miles from the Bear)

I had not had this happen all trip and now it has happened 2 days in a row. The campground I wanted to stay at was full and Kelso & I had to move on. We drove to Woodstock, New Brunswick and stayed at the Connell Park RV Campgrounds. This is not the world famous Woodstock Town that hosted an unbelievable outdoor music festival, that is in New York. The one in New Brunswick is nice and had a very nice campgrounds.

We di our usual walk in the Playground area. Kelso really liked that as I let him go off leash. After the walk we fed Kelso and sat outside at the picnic table. We could get wifi there but not in the RV. We got on the road about 9:30 because I did not think we had to far to go. Anyway the roads were pretty good and we took several quick turns to get to the Sunset Campgrounds and we had to take them again to get back on the road.

I did call Connell Park RV Campgrounds before we got on the road to make sure they had a spot for us. It is a good thing you can look all this stuff up on Google Maps. Fortunately the traffic was light unitil we got off for the last couple of miles in Woodstock to Connell Park.

Nice RV Park in that they had a huge field in the back that, for the most part, they kept mowed. Kelso liked it because I let him off leash on the field and he got a lot of sniffing done. It was a reasonably warm day, so we spent part in the AC inside and part at the picnic table.

Most of the roads were in good shape. This Hwy was 2 lane and ran thru what I believe was Dairy Farms, as a saw some cows near the barns.

Some of the hills in the distance with lots of vegetation everywhere else.

You can see some of the open land for the farms, but still lot of trees around. Not much traffic as you can see.

A farm on the right, but trees everywhere else. Just not a lot of people in New Brunswick.

Nice picture on the Trans Canada Hwy as I am getting closer to Woodstock New Brunswick. Notice the large body of water in the upper right.
