We were up reasonably early and had a good walk. Kelso saw another dog but the owner did not want his dog to get close to Kelson??? The sun was out and it warmed quickly. We took our time getting ready as it was a short ride to Halifax and they told me check-in time was 1:00 pm.
I decided to go to Costco, there are 2 in Halifax, and I selected the western one which is closer to the campgrounds. All the activity at Costco outside was as expected. Inside it was a zoo, worse than the Fort Myers store on Cypress Lake Road. Not only was it crowded, the store was a different layout for the back half than any other Costco I have been in, and there were 3 lines if shoppers for the checkout and the lines extended back about 3/4 depth of the store to the back. I found almost everything I was looking for and restocked the fridge.
After we left Costco, it was about a 20 minute drive to the Campgrounds and we were able to drive in and check-in without any problem. It is a large campground but we have not walked the whole area, nor will we. Kelso has a slight limp when he walks on the gravel road but he seems OK on the grass so we will keep our walks a little shorter, so whatever the issue is, we do not aggravate it anymore.
I called Anne from BSM (Florida) and she and here sister Susan came to visit in th afternoon. Kelso recognized Anne right away from our morning walks and of course she gave him some treats, so all was well. We spent the afternoon swapping stories and getting to know each other better. I had never seen Anne, except on the morning walks. Her sister visits her in Florida, but does not do the morning walk, so this was the first time I had met her. We had a great afternoon and then went to a local fish restaurant that had only outside seating. That worked perfectly for Kelso. The fish were deep fried and they must have been caught that morning because they were outstanding. They seemed to do a lot of business and we were there a little before 6:00. After dinner we went back to the RV and sat and talked for a while. 2 very delightful ladies with lots a good stories.
Today is a kind of laid back day. Kelso is knapping and I am doing laundry. I am not sure why, but you cannot do laundry from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. Anyway we are doing it now. the day started cloudy, but it has turned sunny. It went down to the low 60’s last night and it is early afternoon and it is maybe mid-70’s.
Tomorrow I am going to try and get an early start. We are going to meet Peter Feindel at his family cottage about 52 miles west of Halifax. Peter was born there and spent his first 18 or so years there before going to Toronto. Anyway, that is another story, and that is tomorrow.

The 1st three photos were take from the South end of the Campgrounds. This one is looking west and although we are only a few miles outside of Halifax, it is rural with farms.

This photo is looking South toward the Ocean. It is several mile away.

Tjis photo is looking East, Back toward the Halifax south part. No tall buildings to interrupt the view.

This is the entrance road and our RV is just to the right, out of the picture. You can see the main part of the RV Park really starts at the trees.

The swimming pool is well used and heated to 78 degrees. In Florida, most of the pools I am aware of are heated to 85 or a little more. I guess they are a lot tougher here. The kids seemed to be enjoying it and staying in the water, soo it was not cold/cool to them.
